This app is $4.99 USD in the iTunes store [affiliate link], and is one of those "must have" apps if you are a Star Trek fan. The app emulates the PADD or Personal Access Display Device that was used in Star Trek NG, and is loaded with all kinds of information on pretty much anything Star Trek related including ships, species, food, etc. They even let you link Twitter and Facebook from within the app. If you do pick it up, let us know your thoughts!

"CBS has just posted a new app to the Apple App Store that turns your iPhone into a Star Trek communicator. You can flip the communicator open by flipping the phone and it includes all sorts of Original Series sound effects. Even cooler there is a phone app included, which can access your contacts, so you can make calls right from the communicator."
